She provides a brief overview of some of the modifications and upgrades to the HV30 over the HV20 model which was rated #1 consumer camcorder in 2007. Some tips Dr. Diana has: *You will need a firewire cable to upload your video to your computer. * HV20 and 30 capture video via Dv tape not SD card. *HV30 uses a mini SD card but only for capturing digital still photographs. * You do not need to use high def tapes for the camera. However, use a good+ quality ie, Panasonic AMQ (AY-DVM63AMQ). * Dr. Diana uses Pinnacle studio ultimate version 11. She has already observed that placing standard video with high def vid in the same timeline is not working with Pinnacle. *Great camera, lots of potential. * A big thank you to the HV20/30 Forum members for sharing their knowledge and expertise with interested individuals.
